Last year on Thanksgiving (November 22), I wrote 22 things I was thankful for as a kind of Thanksgiving Advent.
This year, I’m taking it a step further. I created at Thanksgiving Advent Tree. On it are 30 numbered leaves each with a one thing I’m thankful for this year. The idea is to look at each day’s leaf and think all day about that one thing I’m thankful for.
With the excitement of “bigger” holidays like Halloween (which is a BIG one in my home) and Christmas, November and Thanksgiving kind of get glossed over. But pausing each day to be thankful for life is a pretty useful way to spend a month (plus the big meal and four day weekend at the end of the month is a nice bonus).
